Is Tandem Academy Accredited?

Tandem Academy is approved to provide continuing education and pre-certification classes through the Florida State Fire College. Tandem Academy utilizes Florida State Certified Fire Instructors that develop curriculum and teach course in accordance with the rules governed by the State of Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training. Tandem Academy’s Florida State Fire College provider number is: 13060

Tandem Academy is also an approved American Heart Association Training Site and American Health and Safety Institute Training Center authorized to provided instruction in, CPR, AED, First Aid, ACLS, and PALS.

How do I know when a course is offered?

In order to view, sign up, and pay for a course, simply click on schedule in the top menu, there is a drop down bar that allows you to pick by category. For example FOI, which will display all classess associated with FOI certification, or you can simply use all categories, which will display all classes offered, where, when, and how.  Once you find your course, click on "click here to purchase" that will take you to the order pad, just follow the instructions from there.

How do the online courses work?

Once you register and pay for a course, a user name and password will be e-mailed along with instructions on how and where to access the online course system. Most online Fire courses can be taken at any time usually with a 30-day time limit. If you are renewing your CPR for Healthcare Provider or ACLS once the online course portion is completed, an appointment with an instructor needs to be made to complete the skill session portion of the renewal.
